photo analysis of boat picture

The photographer has taken this photo from a low vantage point, which puts our focus onto the pebbles.
The sea and smooth curves of the clouds in the sky sharply contrast the harsher curves and angles of the pebbles in the foreground, our eyes are immediately drawn to the boat,
it makes us wonder how it got there, and how long it has been there.
The lighting of this photograph seems natural, as if it is only the sun that is providing the lighting.
The sun is blurred by the clouds, and is reflected  in the ocean. the scene we are presented with is one of beauty and could perhaps be used in a travel brochure,
 or a canvas or even computer background.
The horizontal lines in the picture give us a sense of peace and harmony, the pebbles in the foreground give us a sense of weight, and heaviness, contrasted by the lightness of the clouds.
The picture adheres to the rule of thirds, and gives us a wide depth of field, being able to see right to the horizon, where the suns reflection stops and the ocean seems to be dropping off the edge of a mighty cliff.
 The natural sunset lighting gives us a richer variety of tones and also a natural feel to the photograph, which makes it seem un-edited.
